Rocker panel rot

Why the rocker panels rot on some cars... Working on the new belt & 17% pulley, pulled the wheel liner and had a peek down the rocker panel... full of dirt & debris. Cleaned out has much as I could but it is still not ideal in there.

The correct fix is to pull all 4 liners, (I am guessing the liner closes off the other end), clean it all out with pressurized water, let it dry and then (optional) treat it as much as possible with Fluid Film. This is the stuff I mentioned in another thread, The gunk that is getting back there will stay wet for a long time, couple in road salts & de-icers and it will eat away at that area where it sits. If there is no mud or debris to hold it moist, it will dry up and should be OK.

The 3rd Gen Ram owners (and most trucks) all have the same exact problem with the areas above the rear wheels, garbage gets back there and traps moisture. The cleaning & fluid film extends the life significantly.
