So I recently got around to installing my Godspeed lowering springs on my r53. The rear springs fit perfectly took about an hour to put in, the front ones not so much... the bottom of the spring fits in the lip perfectly fine, but the top doesn't fit into the cap part at all, I'm 95% sure they aren't upside down because I couldn't get the spring in the other way and even if I did the lip on the bottom appears to be too big. I was wondering if you guys had any advice (I have emailed godspeed and I'm currently watiting for a response). thank you in advance!
Not sure if you found a solution to this but I figured I'd share as I came across this problem and resolved it. I'm a tech at a dealer and I worked on an R56 that a customer had installed these springs on themselves. Teal godspeed springs and new aftermarket shocks. Upon first glance, I thought they had installed the springs upside down, since the springs didn't fit on the bottom perch and I could see the logo and the text was upside down. However, once I got it apart, I realized he had installed R53 shocks on the R56 springs, and the spring diameter doesn't match. In the end, they went on a set of OEM R56 shocks and mounted up perfectly with the Godspeed logo upside down.
You can see in the pics attached that the R53 has a much bigger lower perch.
