Congrats, Sticky! If I remember correctly, your MINI should be at the dealership in 6-8 weeks. What great news for you!! Now the most insane part of the process begins. Heh heh! Wonder if you'll start having the nutty MINI dreams, like so many of us have had?!

My 05 MCS is also "scheduled for production", it showed up on the MINIUSA site on the 22nd. According to Ask MINI is will be completed on January 11th. Based on past experience I would guess it will be here first of February .

Hopefully it will get to me during the second week of my vacation. Will offer plenty of opportunity to get it over the break-in period.

Watching the miniusa tracking page is like watching paint dry. It's an exaggeration, but getting to 'scheduled' feels like a major milestone.
Time to update my signature.

Sticky, the wait is maddening, true, but you loss of sanity will be permanent, I'm afraid. You see, once your MINI arrives your loss of sanity will be replace by MINI-madness, which for a MINI owner is a very good thing (...for friends, family, and co-workers, though, it IS quite baffling). Your only hope is to join a MINI-madness support group...alias, a local owners group. There you will find understanding, acceptance, and encouragement. People there point and smile a lot. They drive in groups, too....and wave.

Personal testimonial: my loss of sanity occured over the three month period (...while my MINI was built and shipped.) It unravelled bit by bit. Finding NAM was little help. I was reduced to a state of total numbness even as my MINI arrived...what feelings I had were all over the place (...my MINI had just been trucked to Dallas across the south through a winter storm ).

MINI-madness descended on me with a vengance about ten feet past the end of the dealer's lot as I motored off in my Cooper for the first time. "The grin" appeared...and I've never looked back.

The lesson is...kiss your sanity goodby. It ain't coming back and "normal" as you know it is about to be redefined. Yeah, baby!!!
