Persistent Airbag warning light

After a long while of no problems, my airbag light went on and off when moving the passenger seat a few times over the course of a week or so.

Not it's stuck ON. Occupancy sensor was replaced under warranty a couple years ago. Code reader says the car isn't too happy with it either.

Is there a fuse associated with all of this?

I've removed both seats, cleaned connectors with contact cleaner, tried unsuccessfully to clear codes with my Foxwell scan tool.

Reading now that airbag error codes aren't clearable by normal means.

Read some info about a B200 SRS tool, but don't see them online. I have a B800 tool that cleared my BMW's airbag light, but I don't think they are compatible?

Need some help.

Thanks!

I just removed my seats and steering wheel airbag if you'd want any of them..I had 0 lights or codes on with them.
I don't mind canabilizing the seats to get what ud need.

Inpa will clear the light. You’d have to scan an fix any issues first with inpa

Light comes on when you remove the seats. Bavarian Technic will also clear the light otherwise a dealer trip is required.

I stopped by a shop today to get a scan with a better scan tool than I have at home. Here's the results.

Occupancy sensor was replaced under warranty in 2017, so not sure why that's coming up again?

I don't know much about the driver's door airbag sensor. Could it be a connector? A fuse?

I pulled the driver's door apart today to check the "80 Airbag sensor, door, front left". I unplugged and plugged the connector into it 3 times, but that didn't seem to help anything. I've ordered a new one to see if replacing it helps.

Still don't know what the 0146 MRSZ5 issue is?

Made some progress here. Used NCS Expert to code out the occupancy sensor so airbag will go off regardless. Cleared that code with INPA.

Now, hoping that the new replacement door airbag sensor will solve that code!! If not, I'll be back to square one.

Good news! Fixed the other half of the airbag light issue and now the light is off! Replaced the driver's door airbag sensor with a new one. Didn't ever require clearing codes afterwards, it cleared itself after startup.

Not sure if the sensor is still available or maybe just part of it?
