The one thing I didn't do at the dealer was onpen the hatch, I know, I read all about the problems but I jsut forgot. Anyways, when I push the little button on the hatch to open it, it sounds like it is openning it repeatedly. Like instead of clicking once, it clicks 3, 4, or even 5 times all right in a row. Sometimes it won't hook into the latch, like the hatch will go down but doesn't latch. To make it latch, I have to press the button again or lock and unlock the car. Has anyone else had this same problem. I know that I am going to have to bring it back to the dealer but I want you input too.

P. S. I bought my MINI from a dealer that is farther away than the closest one (due to no mark ups) but can't I still get work, service, etc done at the close one for no extra cost and/or hassle.

Thanks

2minis, thanks for the input, but you misunderstood my. I didn't write it right. What meant by "P. S. I bought my MINI from a dealer that is farther away than the closest one (due to no mark ups) but can't I get work, service, etc done at the close one for no extra cost and/or hassle." was a question, does it matter what dealer I get service from, even though I didn't buy it from them?.

They will be able to reprogram the lock. When it wont relatch, try reopening it before shutting it.

You should have no problems with the dealer marking up service. Is the dealer available on the rating system part of this site? You may get some info on the customer service available from the comments posted there.

Good luck!

Shouldn't matter where you go for service.....as long as it is MINI.

I have had all of my service done at my closest dealer (Ralph Schomp MINI in Denver) even though I bought my car in Kansas (because they had the car , no waiting

Mine did the same thing,,Dealer will put a new "actuator" spelling? Seems 80% of Mini have this "problem" (I would call it a "defect", but no BMW calls it a "redesign" LOL..)
