What is more accurate for MPG?

I purchased an iPhone app call OBD Fusion last summer and just love all the features. However I notice a large discrepancy between the MINI MPG on board computer for MPG and the OBD Fusion app. Would eagerly like to hear from all what they think is the more accurate to measure my fuel mileage. Both pictures reflect the exact same trip of 9.85 miles.

. Thanks in advance!!

I don't think 9 miles is a long enough drive to accurately determine the fuel mileage . imo I would trust the car over the app but I do not know how these cars calculate fuel usage .

Just calculate it by hand when you fill up, or use a gas log app like Fuelly.

I have been keeping track of the MPG in both my Mini's......I use miles driven divided by gallons filled at fill up....it matches the readout on both my cars perfectly.

I also have an app on my phone to keep track of my miles driven, gallons used, and price of the gas at the time of filling up....I use it just as a place to save all the info on all the cars we have. The app is called Fillup
