Bargain $500 Mini - Cat-Back Question

Has anyone installed the Borla exhaust?
Borla exhaust for 2002-2006 R53 MINI Cooper S Hardtop. WMW offers both the Sport (Aggressive) and Touring (Normal) versions of this Borla Cat back exhaust.

https://www.waymotorworks.com/borla-...haust-r53.html

My question is how loud is the aggressive, and how quiet is the touring? Is the touring louder than stock?
I don't really want loud, but I also want to at least know that I've installed an exhaust.

Just curious as I did the one ball mod but I have the feeling I'm not going to like it much.

Thanks,
robj

The Millteks are on sale right now and cheaper than they have been in the last couple years. Plus we know the Milltek makes the most torque out of the systems. You'll find it's the most popular system for the R53 due to these reasons and how well it fits.

The Borla is ok and doesn't sound bad, but they do cost more and almost every one of them comes in with cracks at the welds as we've seen it many times.

If you want agresive n great sounding , I run pacesetter . Though with catless and headers it's almost too loud . I do get alot of thumbs up while driving ... Great pops between shifts and a agresive deep tone , just loud as it's really just 3 resonators no real mufflers . But I think that's what's sets it apart from all the rest.

Here's my car with it on, if your interested I will make you a full video of just my exhaust .. fast forward to 3:20 and I show the exhaust and rev it and do a walk behind...it doesn't have that sound like blowing air between your lips like every other mini I've ever heard ..I get ALOT of compliments actually on my exhaust buuuut just seen you don't want a louder exhaust so pacesetter won't fit your want..though it's price may sway you.

Adam,
You're right, that's probably a little loud for this old guy. Ha!
Thanks for the link though.

Way,
How much difference is there in the sound between the resonated and non-resonated?

Thanks,
rob
