This may be trivial, (compared to uncomfortable seats!) but does anyone else think the turn signal "clicker" is way too loud? Can it be reduced or cut out completely?

BTW - it's actually nice to have these little things to complain about. It means we're actually blasting around town in our MINIs!!

are you serious? indicators too loud? that is too funny. the engineers designed it just for those daft bastards who cant seem to shut their indicators off after negotiating a turn.
cheers, jason

I think the sound is just right, but just once in a while when it doesn't turn itself off, like at a 'Y' junction, I end up flashing the high beams while switching it off.

Anyone else have a heavy hand?.

I've accidentally high-beamed people in front of me while changing lanes a number of times. I think it's some combination of the stiffness of the indicator stalk for up/down, the looseness of the indicator stalk for forwards/backwards and the laziness of keeping my elbow on the windowsill.

I don't mind the click volume - then again, I like my talk radio and books-on-tape loud too!

I have also noticed that the "auto-off" point seems to be oddly placed on the steering wheel turn radius. It seems to stay on until you are almost *completely* straightened out - making Y's a slight nuisance.

Oh well. In some strange way, I've found that little quirks and nuances like this serve only to further endear me to the car!

when the music is on i think its best that its so loud so you can hear it. I hate those drivers that drive around town with their signal on and dont even notice. This way you will take notice when it is on and when it shouldnt be on.

Just like the sunroof being too noisy at 80 mph... I listen to CD's SO loud that I don't always notice these things. Actually, I did notice the blinker rhythm interrupting a perfectly wonderful beat the other day. Perhaps the volume is a bit loud, but that's okay. I wish you could download blinker tones or something! Seriously, when I didn't realize until week three of ownership that I had never turned the stereo OFF and didn't even know how, I knew this car was too much fun!
