Heated seat with aftermarket switch?

I have a mini without heated seats and I have a set of heated seats and am wondering if I can do an aftermarket switch with the factory elements. Seems like it would be simpler than ripping out the whole wire harness for the seats from the donor car. Both of these are 2006 R53s.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

You can buy the OEM wiring harness for about $30 and a second hand switch plate then you'll be original

I happen to be selling the switch if you need.

Check out this R53 MINI Cooper heated seat switch for $50 on OfferUp https://offerup.co/vGU0jXrxa2

Some Mini dealers who sell online discount 20-25% so will be cheaper than ESC.

I have a parts car that has everything... I just thought it might be easier to grab a 12V source and use aftermarket than find where the factory stuff taps in and remove it all from my wrecked car.
