Oil pan gasket leaking after install?

I recently replaced my oil pan because the last one had an oil plug that could not be removed. I made sure that both surfaces were super cleaned and lined up everything correctly along with using the correct torque spec.

I took a look at the underside of the car and noticed that oil is slowly oozing from what appears to be coming from the rear of the oil pan (side facing the back of the car). It doesn't leave any marks on the ground so I am not eager to drop the pan until I need to get back down there again.

I am pretty good at finding leaks but was wondering if there is anything back there that gives the appearance of a leak at that location??

I will clean up and add dye if necessary but just don't have that sort of time right now.

Thanks for any info as to what that leak might be if it is not the gasket.

Thanks.

The oil cooler is up there, just above the power steering cooling fan. That's a common item to leak.

I have the same issue! However I noticed that if the car if park flat. There is not leaks, but if I put it up on the ramps with the incline. I’ll see The tiny zipping.

Replaced my old leaking oil pan gasket and discovered a tiny leak coming from the timing chain cover as well.
As stated above: Oil filter and cooler leaks are common and are/is located just above where you mention you now see drips.

the oil filter housing gasket or in basically the same spot, check the pressure / temp sensor that goes into the back of the oil filter housing. Mine is leaking.
