R50 04 mini cooper s stereo wiring adding bluetooth help needed

I have purchased a aftermarket bluetooth adapter that says it is for the r50 mini cooper. The adapter is not being recognized by the stereo, the factory system I have has the HK package and the serius xm setup was wondering if the xm part is causing the bluetooth connection to not be recognized by the head unit?
Any help or info on this would be appreciated

Glad you were able to get it working. I ended up replacing the head unit with one that does Siri’s/XM and Bluetooth. I got it from Crutchfield and bought the Axxess adaptor with it. It’s an ugly pile of boxes and a little tricky to fit it all in, but it’s compatible with the H/K amp, and works with the steering wheel controls.

Yeah I went with the
Bluetooth Adapter Bluetooth Adapter
from Amazon Automobil Pro Audio was a big help they even sent me a second box to test if the original box was faulty or not turns out it wasn't I am not too happy with the adapter though in that its a bit buggy, Pretty sure I can work through it though mainly having problems with alt and battery supply not being enough to handle the load I am giving them. So I am looking for a solution for a secondary battery placement the trunk is out of the question as it is housing my sub box and amp. Also looking for an upgrade to the alt any suggestion in here?

I use the same unit, what problems are you having with it and why do you need a 2nd battery? This adapter is for use with the HK system, what are you using it on?

The problem I was having is wasn't powering on was not pairing up was a faulty box was replaced and now it's working

The reason for sencary battery is due to the amp draw on my system I removed my Hk amp replaced with an aftermarket planet audio amp 1200wtts pushing 2 - 12" 1000 watt subs from Bose the phantoms shallow mounts and it is drain battery when at idle but I think just an upgrade to my battery should do the trick and upgrading my connections to the amp mainly the ground I think I got it grounded to a weak ground point.
I ran the 2 missing lines from HU to the trunk to use with my amp kept the factory wiring to the factory speakers just straight wired them to bypass the factory amp connections
It was all abit of a pain while doing it all but I pressed on through it and got it done
