Adding Sirius/Ipod/Bluetooth to OEM Stereo?

Hi All,

First post to this forum. I have been searching but haven't found an identical thread so I apologize if this has come up before.

I just bought a used 2007 Mini Cooper (R56 I believe). I just picked it up 10 days ago so I'm just familiarizing myself with the Mini terms!

Anyways, the Mini appears to have the basic radio and the MFSW but does not have bluetooth, ipod or sirius installed. I am interested in have all three installed but from what I have read this can be pricey.

Is it possible to have one, two or all three installed? Is the Mini 'pre-wired" for this since the MFSW is already there... and the antenna appears to have the "shark fin" which i assume is where the sirius antenna would be...

Basically, is this installation ridiculously expensive, dealer or otherwise, or should I just settle with the AUX input and basic FM radio commercials all day?

Thanks for any help you can give! I LOVE MY MINI!

As you have an 07 it may or may not be wired for all the above. Early 07 models up to about May 07 production did were not wired for everything and some CAN NOT be added.

Later 07 models can be upgraded but at a very high cost.

Each added module will also require programing by the dealer.

On the 07 Models

iPod is done thru a connector on the back of the radio and then is on the display sort of like a CD player and you can do playlists and not much more.
Price: couple hundred bucks Plus programing.

For SAT you can check under the passenger seat below the carpet and if there is a Pink Antenna connector then you have a sat antenna and the sat box would go down it that compartment below the carpet.
Price: about $400 for the reciever plus cost of install and programming

Bluetooth - Module cost $1200+. plus the cost of install (very expensive) and programing.

You best bet would be to go aftermarket with these items You can check this site out for aftermarket items and ideas
