Hi, i know this has been a topic for many many threads but I'm still left wondering if my 17x7 +42 wheels will clear R56 brakes? I got a good deal on some front r56 brakes and since i need to change them i thought i might as well buy them..

 

I have 17x7 +35 on my R53 with R56 brakes, so i see no reason why it should not fit.

 

Obviously depends on the wheel design, What shape the rim is behind the spokes...
But in general...yes.
The previous owner of my 05, R53, installed R56 front (only) brakes on what is now my car. He installed a set of 17" x 7", Team Dynamics wheels. They fit fine.
I wanted a change. I installed a set of factory 16" x 6.5" with full wheel covers. The 16" OEM wheels...fit with NO issues.

Interesting. I seem to recall only 17" wheels would fit for R56 brakes. Maybe there's hope for me yet with my 16x7 Rota RBs.
