Hi everyone!
My 2006 R53 daily driver is starting to creep up in miles, sitting at around 155-156K right now. The car for the most part is very stock and suspension is starting to feel a little tired and worn out in some places, so I thought I would replace a few parts. Seeing as you have to drop the subframe to replace most suspension parts I was thinking of just doing as much as I can in one go and was looking for some advice. Here's what I'm thinking right now:
Koni Special Active F/R Shocks (no plans to lower the car)
Power Flex LCAB
Front Sway Bar Bushings (thinking moog for a brand, was originally thinking powerflex as well but saw bump32's thread how they don't quite fit right)
Inner & Outer Ball Joints (Moog brand as well on these)
Upper & Lower Motor Mounts (unsure of brand yet)
Inner & Outer Tie Rods (probably)
Then I've also read that you should change the oil in the supercharger as the miles get higher and higher, so I figured I should do that too. Any recommendations of other things to take care while the car's in front end service mode? New engine belt?
I think i might have a rear main seal leak as I drip some oil occasionally and the crank position sensor O-ring was changed about 20K miles ago when I did the clutch (should've done the seal then too but it slipped my mind). But I'll take a look to see if anything else is leaking when I take the car apart, any other common leaks to look out for before deciding to tackle the rear main seal?
Thanks in advance everyone!

I plan to do a SC service for my Mini later this summer, so as a starting point, I would get this kit for it:
https://www.waymotorworks.com/superc...t-r52-r53.html
On top of this, since you're there, you might as well change the water pump, and perhaps the thermostat if you haven't already. I was in a similar boat to you last year when I replaced my clutch, only I did replace the rear main seal, but also did crank position sensor o-ring like you did, also replaced the oil pan gasket, replaced all the ball joints, tie rods, poly front sway bar bushings, and got new poly LCA bushings to boot. I also had an oil leak at the oil cooler, so I replaced that gasket as well, which is very easy to get to when the subframe is dropped.
I did accidentally buy a camshaft position sensor o-ring, but after doing some reading, it is also very easy to get to, so when I do my SC service, I'll go ahead and replace that as well.
Some other folks around here could chime in, but this is what I did around this time last year. Any questions, feel free to contact me.

Looks like you are starting a good project.
The FSDs are great shocks and I would recommend them
https://www.waymotorworks.com/koni-s...0-r52-r53.html
The Powerflex are by far the best control arm bushings and we just put them on sale so even better now
https://www.waymotorworks.com/powerf...shing-kit.html
I've never had an issue with powerflex sway bar bushings fitting so I wouldn't be concerned with that.
But I have known many issues with Moog products as there is a reason they are so cheap. I wish they worked as I could use them in my shop if they were reliable.
So I'd use OEM for ball joints and engine mounts

tie rods
https://www.waymotorworks.com/inner-...0-r52-r53.html
It's not a bad idea at all to do an oil change on the supercharger
https://www.waymotorworks.com/superc...t-r52-r53.html
I always do the water pump, crank sensor seal, and hose with the supercharger oil change

Thanks for the help everybody! Going to be placing some orders tonight and hopefully do the work next week!
Just need some tires for my new wheels as well.
Does anyone have advice running 225/40/18s on an 18x8 et 43 wheel? I'm hearing mixed things about rub or not. At stock height I'm guessing there wouldn't be much rub unless the car was fully loaded? And even then, with rolling the rear fenders I should be alright, correct?
Thanks!

I just did something like this in my 02 R53 and here is a little bit of what I learned.
Jack that baby up and do a pretty through inspection prior to getting anything, see if the axel boots have any tears in them, replacing the shocks and struts is a no braining with all that down and if you're still on stock ones with that many miles you definitely will notice a difference. I would also do at minimum the lower engine mount with a powerflex bushing or some other polyurethane one. I would also do the front Rear trailing Arm bushings if you are going to drop the sub-frame anyway. On mine with 122k those were trashed. I also went ahead and replaced the ball joints and sway bars with moog because it just really wasn't that much more and I liked the peace of mind.
For the supercharger service I replaced the water pump and thermostat and all the gaskets of course. Which is probably a good idea since you will be removing them all anyway. The supercharger service itself wasn't too complicated but I did have trouble with a high idle due to a vacuum leak because of a bad seal at the supercharger where the inlet tube connects. I had to replace that black inlet tube, but at a minimum replace that gasket with a quality one.
One last thing to note is all your radiator hoses, which will almost all be removed and/or this will be the easiest time to do it. So if they seem worn out and you plan to drive this care another 50k or so I would consider dropping some money on that too. I didn't do this but I wish I would have when I had it all apart like that.
Hope this helps and give yourself some time to do all this, tbh the most frustrating part for me was having to wait for a part to come in the mail because i didn't know to order it ahead of time when I needed it.
