Miltek exhaust adjustment?

I have two Miltek exhaust systems one for each of my '05 Mini's and both exhaust tips are touching the rear valance. I need to have them drop about a inch but there is no adjustment. How can I get more air space between the tips and valance? Thanks!

Bend to fit. Hammer to fit and pay attention to how you tighten the flange fasteners and clamps as well as the center support bracket. These challenges are not unique to Miltek. You should look closely at the Mini stock mount supports as how you can bend the support or add shims if necessary. Do it before you melt the valance plastic. The sequence of how you tighten the fasteners make a huge difference in centering the tips at the valance.

By the way do you have the sequence on how it’s done?

No real "sequence" to it.
Just start with either side (pick one !), and bend the muffler hanger so that the muffler hangs lower, then bend the opposite side about the same amount. Check the fit at the bumper cover.

Note that bending one side and checking the fit won't help, since they are welded together, you need to adjust "both" sides. You might also try to loosen the connection at the collector as you do this "adjustment", then retighten it after you are done.

Another thing you can do...spacers. The steel bracket that bolts to the body. Make/buy spacers to go between the bracket and the body location. You'll need equally longer fasteners to go thru the spacers and into the body.
