Finally...some fun stuff

My 2002 MCS needed quite a bit of work to replace worn out bits....I effectively rebuilt the front suspension, fixed the strut towers with plates, new struts, bearings, bushings etc etc.

Now I get to do some fun stuff...my MiniMadness CAI has just arrived from the USA, along with my Ireland Engineering cat-back exhaust. I'm picking up a Whiteline rear sway bar today, and I'm in the market for a SC pulley soon. I can't beleive the transformation that came from replacing the worn out front suspension, I'm really looking forward to the rear sway bar, and the additional noise from the intake and exhaust.

If you liked the suspension change, you're going to love the SC pulley! It's an instant 15-20hp and really wakes up an R53.

Well that wasn’t much fun.

The MiniMadness CAI went in without a hitch:

But the Ireland Engineering cat back exhaust had 2 hangers pointing the wrong way, despite providing my exact build date.

Luckily i can weld so I made the needed adjustments:

Had to cut this hanger.

Had to modify the left hanger.

The sound is a symphony of intake and exhaust. Harder than it should have been but very pleased.
