Web Spoke Wheel cost option:

Has anybody ordered these from the dealer for a post 01/2005 build car? The issue I am having is cost. My MA is quoting me $1200 over the cost of the Sport Package, but it says here:

http://www.motoringfile.com/2004/11/...ke_alloy_wheel

that it is only an additional $500 if ordered with the sport package.
Another MA (in another city in the US) confirms that cost here:

http://www.motoringfile.com/2004/11/..._an_ma_answers

I would like these wheels, but would also like to save $700 on them. I suspect it's just a case of not having the updated information at the dealership for the January '05 builds, but if I could point my MA in the right direction on how to order these at the $500 price it would be nice. Somebody on another forum said that they had gotten a new option list from their dealer, and they were on there for this cost.

Thanks in advance everyone !

It's not unusual for an educated MINI customer to know more than their MA.

I think it's pretty clear; the ZSP sport package ordered from the factory with 17" S-Lite wheels is $1350, and with the alternative 2-piece web-spoke wheel it is $1850.

Maybe your MA is trying to sell you a dealer-installed wheel plus tire package?

Is the web-spoke wheel option with the sport package not showing up on MINI's build-your-own configurator ?

Negative on the dealer option... he said it was "available from factory". The webspoke wheels are on the mini-configurator, but not at the $500 price.

I'm hoping that once he does some investigating, he will find out the correct price.

The guy on the other forum is from Atlanta, and supposedly has an updated option list in hand from his dealer. Hopefully he can scan it or something for me.

Yay. My MA just emailed me, and he found the dealer bulletin on the correct pricing of these wheels. $500 over the cost of the sport package. Order code should be 2RE.

Brilliant.
