If there is one thing I'd like to change in my own posting behavior, it's to remember to welcome newer members more often on the forums. It may seem like a small thing, but it's really pretty important. Sometimes I think we (and I include myself) forget about what it was like to make your first post or what it meant when someone made you feel welcomed to the forum.

Aloha and welcome to NAM from Hawaii.
It's a great time to be on NAM.
LombardStreet,
Thanks for starting this thread and reminding us of what we have to be thankful for. NAM is a unique resource and provides ongoing support for the MINI community at large.
Many thanks to Mark and DiD (Dave) for doing all/most of the behind the scenes work and for the vision of how NAM should be.
Also many thanks to the great vendors we have on NAM that provide products for our MINIs, excellent support and tons of helpful information.
It is my pleasure to be involved and my honor to help those who are new to NAM and MINIs just as I was back in Feb 2003. In medicine we have a saying about learning- See one, Do one, Teach one. ( You see something demonstrated, you do it yourself under supervision, then you teach another person the same thing you just learned) We don't always do all three in the same one sitting but you get the idea.
I'd like to wish many Happy Thanksgivings to all our NAM friends out there in cyberspace!

So now I like to return the favor (in a way) and welcome new members whenever I get the chance. I'm not on here as much as I used to be though, so I'm sure I miss many of them.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
