Long Term Review in Automobile

Automobile magazine this month had a fairly long article on a long term review of their British Racing Green Mini Cooper S. The article was very positive and once again the Mini came in with extremely low out of the pocket repair expenses (just one disconnected hose). Of all the long term reviews, the Mini has come away with either very low or no maintenance costs for the vehicles, and often times beating the magazines records for reliability. I would definitely recommend getting the magazine or reading the article. The comments from the various reviewers was all very positive about the various aspects of the cars, much more than Car and Driver's long term review.

Another interesting note is their somewhat long term review of the JCW kit. Midway through their evaluation they added the JCW kit. They also ran performance numbers on the kit, with quite an improvement of 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times, which appear to be consistent with the additional hp expected from the JCW kit. So despite the various dynos that people have showing the JCW kit making only 15 extra hp, the performance numbers show otherwise.

Anyway, overall another great article for a car that we already know is great.
