So, I have a 2002 r53 Mini Cooper s and I’ve been doing a bunch of work to it. I did a 15 percent pulley, a dinan cai with cowl air suction so it actually does something(although I’ve hear about that being a low pressure zone on the car so idk but anyways), an invidia N1 catback exhaust, and an m2 performance header with a cat delete. And I know my car runs super rich, it blows black smoke at start and stinks of gas, and my exhaust tips turn pure black. But, I’ve seen videos of people doing pulls in their minis and spitting flames between shifts! I set up a rear mount GoPro and I’m not getting anything! I know this is stupid, but I’m a stupid teenager who likes fire. I’m just curious to why I’m not seeing flames, I can hear the gases exploding right in the mufflers. Would it be that my mufflers are too restrictive??

If you keep running your engine that rich you will end up burning up your engine. That much fuel is going to wash the oil off your cylinder walls and cause extreme wear.

Keep running rich and you’ll ruin your catalytic converters too.
