Turn signal help

I have a very unique problem with my turn signals. I say unique because I cannot find a thread that has been able to help. The right side of my turn signals work but not the left. None of the left turn signals work. All brake lights and reverse lights work fine but none of the turn signals on the left work. Not the back side or front. Please help! Closest solution I could find is the ECM needing replaced. I am new to minis and love it so far just want to figure this out.

Turn signal switch

Is this the switch that others are talking about in the steering column? I check the voltage for the turn signals at all three spots while it was “turned on” with no power going to it. It the switch would turn on the voltage to the turn signals when activated then you could be right.

Yes the switch distributed power to the turn signals.

Maybe a different twist on things. The blinker light on the dash works at a normal speed when the blinkers don’t actually work. Could this still be the switch?

Check your wiring to the left side from the switch. Sounds like a break somewhere. Try turning the hazard light switch on and off a few times. The hazard switch can be defective and break the connection to the turn signal switch.

The hazard lights are the same way. Only the right side of the car works.

Well it is still possible that the hazard switch is the problem. Otherwise you will need to trace power to the switch and back out to find where the disconnect is.
