Mystery parts

i was cleaning the garage today and found thes two parts on the floor in a corner of the shop. All my motor power equipment and all my cars are running without problems. Does anyone have any idea what they are

Looks like a compression return spring and hydraulic piston seal ... have you done any work on a hydraulic jack or taken a suspension strut apart lately?
