Hands-free non-bluetooth cell kit useful for multiple phones

I pick up my 2005 S tomorrow (yippeee!), but it is a manual, which means I definitely must have a hands-free cell phone kit so I can safely motor. I've searched here and other places, but haven't found the info I needed. If anybody can help me out with the info, or point me to sites that have info/articles/faqs on doing this...let me know...and budget is important!

I have a sony ericsson t316 with cingular and my g/f has a motorola flip phone with sprint...I would like for both to be able to be used hands-free (one at a time, of course), if possible...

I have the standard MINI Boost cd factory radio and MFSW. I'd love to be able to hear the voice over the radio, which would also mute the radio for a call, but if i have to just mount a small speaker and microphone somewhere for now, and use those for the phone, then that is fine as well...i'll be putting a carputer in soon and will do a computer interface to control the phones at that time...

so i need a mount for the phone and a way to speak and hear, preferably through the radio and preferably universal with multiple cell phones (through adapters if nothing else)...

what kinds of options am I looking at? Any useful info?

I don't claim to be THE expert on this, but this is what I've read:

Yes, the head unit does have a phone provision built in - BUT - the only interface offered in the US from MINI has been bluetooth. I understand there are wired interfacces offered in Europe. When it works, it mutes the stereo and displays "PHONE". The mic is already built in to your headliner, up front, near the mirror. Check MINI2 for the euro take on all this...

I can also tell you that for your g/f's phone there may be a plug-in bluetooth adapter - Motorola makes one for around $40 that fits many of their more recent models.

As for a low priced mount, look at the Panavise mount - it's basically a metal plate that sticks out next the head unit. You can easily mount a cell phone-specific holder to that. http://www.panavise.com

(I bought my panavise mount from an ebay seller "custom-motorsports" - he was slow to answer questions but once I paid he shipped promptly. I will have it installed by this weekend...)

Hope this helps a little...
