Hey all...

I bought a BRG/W Cooper 1:18 model back in August from the BMW dealership. It was $70.00 plus tax, and it is NOT made by Maisto...it's made by Kyosho. I just flipped it over and had a look see.

And you know what? It's the best model out there...THE most authentic (seatbelts that move, springs for the suspension, little valve caps on the rims, steering wheel that turns and turns the tires, etc.). To me, it was worth the $70.00 because I will have a die-cast model of the car in my garage, albeit in a different color.

Tell me where I can get one made by Kyosho in IB/W with a sunroof and 5-stars and I will be all over it. That's my ride! Or better yet, tell me where I can get one in an even larger scale...like 1:10!

There's lots of the Kyosho Minis on Ebay as well. I may get one, but it'll be tough to pain the roof black with that sunroof there!

Hey Dennis,
I found the silver/Blk combination at Target. It was more expensive than Walmart/Sam's etc., but worth it. Let me know if you don't find it.

FYI- I found a Black/white top MC (Maisto Special Edition) for $9.95 at Costo...

This is getting absurd, two (soon 3) 1:18 models, and a 1:72 in my office

caio,

Most of the ones I've seen are MC. Any 1:18 MCS available?

I have MC's in 1:18, 1:24, 1:32, 1:43 and 1:64 scale. All but the 1:32 came from Wal-Mart. The 1:32 I got at K-B toys. Also have a $65 1:18 Chili Red/W MC I got at Roadshow. It's not a Maisto and is much more detailed. Has white 5-spoke wheels and a sunroof as does my 1:1. The Maisto models are very nice for the price though. The 1:64's are 58 cents at Wal-Mart.

You can never have to many MINIs.

Your Mini Dealer may still be able to order for you a very limited 1:18 MCS model with the factory Aero kit and ALL the John Cooper Works Kit gear and badgeing, PLUS the special JCW 18" wheels and special JCW seats. The model is painted Chili Red with a White Top and Bonnet Stripes. $65. Part No. 80-43-0-304-052. If you want one act quickly. Reportedly only 500 were made. When mine was ordered just 43 remained at the parts distribution center. Happy Model Motoring !
