Should I remove the chip guards?

The chip guards in front of the rear wheels on my MCS are glued on, not magnetic, and they are a little unstuck around the edges. Wondering if I should use heat and pull them off? Worried about grit and moisture getting behind. On the flipside, I don't know how long they have been on, so paint may be different underneath after not being in the sun ( car is new to me). Thoughts?

Most of them are magnetic. I wonder what they used, rubber cement? Be careful and heat it up, if it starts to pull you are ok. If its really hard I would watch so it does not pull the paint. If you are too scared take it o a body shop and see what they say. They might have more tricks. Otherwise, I would leave it alone not to damage the paint on the underside.
