R50/53 Cold Weather Smiles
Cold Weather Smiles
Who is anticipating the colder weather that seems to be creaping in, and it's apparent performance increase for our MCS's?
I feel like I get an extra 10-15hp on really cold crisp days.

Fall is nice. Crisp temperatures, the car seems to run better, just cold enough to wear a jacket. Plus, the autumn colors are about to hit their peak. Not looking forward to the first snowfall though. I really have to buy some winter treads and figure out a painless way to wash the salt and nasty cinders off the MINI. I find that I can't really enjoy autumn (even though it's my favorite season) because I'm worried about what winter may bring.
Colder weather 35F-55F is always good news for me...as long as the
roads are dry. I really like 28F-35F, but the tires don't grip
nearly as well at those temps so can't plant the power down as much.

I'll smile and wail away on the gas pedal happily until it's so cold that I can't get ANY traction in the snow and ice
I've always found fall to be pleasant, except for the impending doom that winter brings. Time to head up to NY for a salmon-fishing excursion...
