brand new MCS blemish

got my MCS few weeks ago. the first week I noticed the blemish spot that appeared to be "paint dripped" (center of the driver side door on the bottom) so I took it to the dealer. The service manager checked it out and did agree with me that it was definitely a paint dripped spot. He can't decide what to do with my car, so he told me that he will talk to his boss and contact me back. What do you think he will do? I hate to have them re-paint the entire door. If it possible for them to swap out the whole door? this is sucks

If it is in the clear coat, a good body shop can wet sand the drip off. You'd be surprised what they can fix without having to repaint. Don't panic yet. What color is the car? Is it a metallic color or regular?

Maybe, they can wet sand it out. Our coop is missing some paint inside the doorwell on both sides.

One thing's for sure -- they're not going to replace the door!

I would look for a high end body shop in your area that handles dealer repairs from Porsche and Mercedes. A high quality shop will remove the door and dismantle it enough to do a proper prep and respray.

The Mini dealer probably won't be able to authorize this though -- you will have to get the BMW zone manager involved (via the dealer). It might take a while but they will eventually consent.
