CA bushings - lube or no?

Replacing the CA bushings (with stock-style rubber, not PU). Going to use a rented C-clamp press. Question is, do I lube the steel bushing jackets before pressing them into the bracket? Pelican write-up says use silicone, but other sources say don't lube them at all. Any opinions?

I've never needed to lube a bushing when installing into a bracket or control arm. Lubricant may allow the bushing to rotate when put under load. There should be no problem pressing the bushing into a clean bracket.

We recommend silicone as a way to install the bushings for those who do not have the BMW specialized press tool or are having difficulty getting them on. We do not say it's a requirement to use silicone as a necessity when installing the bushings. Quotes from the article are below.

BMW specifies the use of a specialized press tool, but I found that using a little silicone lubricant on the inside of the bushing along with a quick good blow with a hammer managed to get the bushing on enough to where I could push it down all the way.

Place a small amount of silicone lubricant on the edge of the large outer bushing then use the press to get the edge started inside the bracket...
