R50/53 Can anyone tell me the difference between item 1 and item 2?

Can anyone tell me the difference between item 1 and item 2?
The parts diagram. Item 1 is labeled FRONT BUMPER BUMPER AND COMPONENTS BUMPER COVER BUMPER COVE[ 1 ]
Item 2 is labeled Front apron (Bumper cover- Bumper & Components - FRONT APRON)

One is the basic bumper skin, the other is the Aero bumper.

I have the MC40, so would you call my bumper the basic bumper cover?

Yeah, the MC40 uses the basic bumper, but you could always buy the Aero bumper to spruce the car up!!
