When my system isn't bumping with drum-n-bass, I'm listening to WBAP (820 AM) here in Dallas...

An eclectic bunch, but what would you expect from MINI owners?

My tastes are similar: NPR for the Morning Rendition, and All Things Distorted; EIB for Lush Rimbaugh, maybe a little bit of Savage at night if I have the need to rage.

Don't they play music on the radio anymore?

Radio:

NPR WLRN 91.3FM

88.9 FM Serious Jazz WDNA Miami

Love 94 (Jazz) WLVE 93.9FM

Majic 102 (Oldies) 102.7FM

The Coast 97.3FM (Hits from the '80s, '90s and today)

Party 93 (Club Dance Music, DJ Re-mixes) WPYM 93.1FM

That's about it in the local radio. Sometimes I listen to WINZ 790AM talk radio and WOID 610AM News/Talk. Other than that, the programming format of most other radio stations don't agree with my listening taste. I don't like music in Spanish (Salsa, Merengue, etc we have at least 4 spanish music FM radio stations in Miami), I certainly dislike RAP or R&B and I am not into heavy metal rock although I much prefer classic rock.

Oh and there is no Classic Music radio station in Miami anymore. We lost the only one we had in the FM dial over 2 years ago.

Whatever happened to culture and good taste???

I listen the NPR sometimes, as well as KFI. I like Kevin & Bean on KROQ in the morning but my favorite is Indy 103.1 with Steve Jones from The Sex Pistols. He is on from 12 'til 2 and plays all the music from my dysfunctional punk rock youth.

I can't even remember the last time i listened to FM radio. I usually listen to XM 43, or the Drum and Bass show on XM 80. Occasionally I listen to XM 150 Comedy when I'm not in the mood for music.

My locally owned, independent classic rock station, KPRI. If I drive out of the San Diego area, I listen the my CDs. Sometimes my 14 year old puts on a station that seems to mostly play metal! Its funny, cuz a good bit of it is stuff I was listening to when I was his age. (long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away...) On the fun roads its nothing but pure MINI!

my radio gets used alot. I don't have a mp3 player yet for portable use.

so in the AM it is Armstrong and getty on talk 650. for the commute home I listen To Micael Savage, and Bill Oriley. I dont care for NPR except when Prarie home companion is on.

when I am not commuting I like 80's rock and country, and throw in a bit of jazz. Ireally ike bigband sound so when I get mp3 player there will be alot of that.

This is strange, but it depends upon which car I'm driving. When I drive my Triumph or old Mustang, I listen to the engine. I can't remember the last time I listened to tunes in either car.

I don't have the new MCS yet, it's supposed to be here around Oct. 11. But, I may not listen to a lot of music/radio in it around town.

In other cars, it's (guess!) NPR or the local U. of VA college station, WTJU FM. They play excellent progressive rock stuff and absolutely no top 40, rap or hip-hop. They play tons of jazz at night and on weekends. Really no reason to listen to anything else around here.

This is an eclectic list of music, probably due to the age differences, I guess.

Since there are no decent radio stations in the Tampa/St Pete area, i listen to WDUV, easy listening kinda stuff. The DJ's name is **** Ring...no lie, and that's his real name!! Funny stuff.

Clear Channel owns HI.

Most of the time I'm on KTUH the local colledge station.
Or HPR/NPR in the am.
Clear Channel owns most of the top 40 s*#@ stations in town.
They suck dead bears in pond water!
OK,
I'm over it.
