In testing my mini system for leaks I discovered that the little green gasket that goes between the supercharger and air intake duct was leaking. I went to BMW and bought a new one and reassembled and tested again. It still leaks with only 7 lbs of pressure. Anyone else run into this and found a solution? I inspected the intake duct itself and it does not have any cracks nor does it seem deformed. There is a little tab on the bottom with a hole in it that seems to need a screw but there is noting on the supercharger to screw into. This is the only place I am finding a leak.
There is certainly a spot on mine for that screw to fit into. Look very closely. I can send you a pic if you want. My car is currently disassembled so I get a good view.

Yes please sent a pic. I have a screw in the front but not on the underside.
No worries. Upon further testing I found that I have a Crack in the plastic air intake duct. Guess BMW is getting more of my money.
Don,
Those green gaskets leak even on a good day, evidence of them leaking is the oil that builds up around the mating surfaces of the intake duct to the SC.
I've seen a couple of those black intake ducts cracked as of recent, it seems the plastic welds are becoming brittle.
Let us know if you need any help, we should have one or two on hand.
$200 at the dealership. I just replaced mine and the gasket and it is still leaking. Does it matter? All it is going to do is allow additional air to be pulled into the supercharger right?

The gasket doesn't seal perfectly, even when new and extremely clean they leak.
Not going to hurt you, if the car throws unmetered air codes or lean codes, etc, then you have larger leaks or problems.
