Question Regarding the clock

Is the digital clock in a 2004 Mini Cooper S suppose to stay on with the key removed or not?

Thanks.

I’m not sure about the 04’s, but my 02 can be viewed without the car being on. By pressing the time button it displays the time for around 5 seconds then goes blank again.

another clock question: After having my ecu flashed some time ago, my clock started reading in military(24 Hr) time.Gary @ MoP told me to push both hour and minute hand down and I did, but all that happened was that AM and PM were reversed(14:00 became 2:00) but 12 hours later it was back to 14:00.Is there a way to get the military time to go back to 12&12?

You have to push the two buttons at the same time and hold them until
the display changes (a couple of seconds).
