Swapped the engine, new one cranked but now it won't start...

Ok, I recently swapped out my bad engine and replaced it. Before putting everything back together, I started the replacement after I got it in with a jump pack to make sure it worked and it cranked just fine. I ran it for about 10-15 seconds.

Then, I put on a new water pump, the original alternator, the radiator and put in a new battery. Now it won't start. The starter does not click at all, but all the lights on the dash come on. I double checked the wires and everything seems to be soundly connected.
Is it an immobilizer issue? Can I take out the EWS, ECU and take the key in for them to align it, if so?

Thank you

The engine has no chip or ID built in. If you didn't change the ECU, it won't care. Check your grounds, see if you are getting voltage at the starter, all the basics...

Update.

I took the starter out and connected it straight to the battery with some jumper cables and then used a screwdriver to touch both posts and other than a little spark, nothing happened, so I thought the starter just kicked. I put in a different starter, and and still all the lights come on but no clicking. I borrowed a voltmeter and checked the voltages coming from the battery, it was fine. I checked the voltage at the battery post on the starter, and it was about 7. I'm not really what to do now, as I'm still learning (obviously as I go) and replacing electrical or wiring seems like it may be complex.

I think you got a grounding issue. There is a wire connected to the motor mount on the passenger side. Check if the voltage is the same from that end (close to the starter). If the voltage is low, check the wire and or run a new wire to test it out. Basically, doubke check your connections. Use your hands to feel them.

Did you paint anything in the process of the swap, there can be no paint between the upper motor mount and the ground strap or the block.
