Chrono Pak and Clock problem?

I'm going to pick up my car next Thursday, so I sent an E-mail to my MA to finalize my programmable options. I have read somewhere on the internet that the Chrono Pak equipped cars have had some sort of problem with their clocks, so I wanted him to be sure it was working. Seems that the clock on Chrono Pak equipped cars is an option on the speedo digital display, that some times is not available as a choice unless something is set when the computer is programmed.

My MA admitted that mine is only the second Chrono Pak equipped car he has seen, and it never even occurred to him to check the clock.

Has anyone had a problem with seeing the clock in a Chrono Pak equipped car, or is this just an old wive's tale? Can you set the time using the dashboard controls?

For someone who are don't know much about the Mini this thread sound so strange. Chrono means clock. Why would one pay more money to get the clock pak and risk the clock not functioning?

Yes, it is ironic, isn't it. But it seems to be true - order the Chrono Pak and you may have trouble with the clock!

The MINI comes with a clock because at least one of the computer control systems needs one.The Chrono Pak has nothing to do with the clock. Not sure where it is displayed anymore. But the Pak is just some engine guages, that may or not be all that important, and it takes the SPEEDO from where it should be in a MINI

My 05's clock (with chrono pack) is displayed under the speedo. Works just fine.

Any of you 05'ers get lousy performance our of your remote keys? Mine only works from like 20ft. from the car.
