Oil Pump

I have a MC40 that I purchased with a blown head due to running low on oil. The bottom end appears to be fine. I decided to also change out the timing chain, etc. I am putting a new crank pulley on but want to get everyone's opinion on when to change out the oil pump. Car only has 67K miles and the oil pump looks fine from a visual inspection. What are your thoughts? Replace the timing cover/oil pump ($250) or not. I have all the various seals/gaskets coming to me. Any way to check the condition of the oil pump?

If you have the time and money it might not be a bad idea just from a preventative standpoint. I haven't run across many issues with their failures recently, but it's also the thought of "while you're in there" type thing. Maybe some others will pop in with their suggestions on it. Found some info that you can check out here. Good luck!
