Exhaust compatibility between 1st and 3rd gen

Hey everyone! First post, long time R53 owner. I searched around the forum and FAQ quite a bit and couldn't find any answers around my question. I'll get right to it:

I have a friend who is upgrading from the JCW exhaust system on his 2007 R56 (second gen, not third as the title says (sorry)) and wondered if any of those exhaust components would be compatible with my 2002 R53.

I realize the system will definitely not work in it's entirety, due to the super/turbo difference alone, let alone any likely chassis differences between the two models. But, it also seems possible that some parts may actually not have changed much or at all and could potentially be compatible.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge around this?

Thanks a ton for any advise.

R56 have a straight line exhaust and the R53 twist from left to right around the battery box, so unless there's some fab work, the answer is no. The only real option would be a battery box delete, then the R56 exhaust might fit with "minimal" work.
