2005 transmission

hey everyone, i just got a 2005 mcs with the 6 speed. just the other day well say about 3, a click noise started when i shift through the gears on the outside of the car. the only gears that do this are first, first to second and second to third. if there is anyone out there than can help me with this. i want to find out if this is normal for mcs and 05 mcs before i go to the dealership.

Is it like a "ka-chunk" noise?

If it is, mine (an 03 MCS) does it too... and so does my b/f's Jetta (although, not as loudly as mine) and he told me it's entirely normal. You'd notice it more with the windows down.

I'm sure you'll get more info from someone more familliar with trannies than I, but my experience has been that what you're describing is entirely benign.
