CVT rebuild result

Hi, I wanted to give the result of the rebuild of my cvt I made last winter on my 2004 Mini Cooper with some help I got here.
First my tranny was still working very well but was Noisy. I changed the 2 big bearings, the belt, filter and all seals, double checked everything put back things together, fresh oil and back on the road this spring. Conclusion :
Everything works fiiiine. The tranny behave very well and car goes well. I drove it slow, fast, up hill and down for a few hundred miles already and no problem. No oïl leaks. No code on the display. I did'nt even had to go to BMW for tranny software upgrade. It has cost around $400. If ever I can help back I'll be glad.

Woohoo. Well done. Time to make (or link) a huge how-to for any of them crazy enough to own or tackle the job.

Happy Motoring!

Awesome. Good news for people that probably thought their cvt was unfixable.

We are currently in the process of rebuilding, a 2004 Base Model. The oil pump assembly was broken and the belt appears good. The problem I am running into is the secondary bearing. I can not find the *** 573386 replacement. Do you remember what the number was on the bearing you replaced? I know its a 72x30x19mm. I know you can purchase from Mini Mania. However, I want to be able to SEE the bearing before I order. Thank you-
