I had a really good run with these mini logo valve caps.In excess of 2 years.So today I go to harvard square and find a parking space right in the smack dab center of the place.I go to pick up my watch being repaired over on Church St..Drive back to Newburyport and decide to give Zane Gray a very deserved cleaning,and what to my dismay do i find,but that some#^&%@ jerk has relieved me of my stinking valve caps. .I hope they go to a nice home.I sure as hell won't be dropping another $14 for new ones.May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the turkey who found this necessary to do.Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhh. Don't feel too bad, mine lasted less than 2 weeks - parked in my driveway. Some liitle a**hole kids (that I knew...) took 'em for their scooters, but since their parents didn't give sh**, there was nothing I could do. Now I put them on with a wrench - good luck trying to get 'em off without one!!!!

 

My stock, plain ol' caps got stolen soon after I got my car... I bought some cheap lokk-a-likes at AutoZone and have had no problems since.

Stock ones gone in first 2 weeks,look alikes gone 2 weeks later.Black cheap plastic ones,12 months and counting

 

I've lost valve caps on other rides so this is no surprise. Like they say - cheap black plastic caps are the way to go

 

My first valve caps lasted a month or so. The second set lasted two days, I think. Now I switched to the plastic ones. I did use the pliers and they stayed for a while but that was a pain with switching tires pressures and I eventually gave up.

Lots of folks seem to get these ripped off and I've avoided this particular mod just because of stories like this. What do kids (or other thieves) put them on, their bicycles?? Sorry that happened to you.....

Next time I'm in harvard square and check out every car and bike I see. If I find them, I'll send them back to you, just after I'm done torching the ride of the person who doesn't have respect for other people's rides.

When I bought rims for my last car, the day after I had them I had parked in k-mart ( ) and came out to find all my caps stolen. I freaked out and had an alarm system installed the very next day!!
