Hey guys, I am thinking of picking up a K&N Typhoon CAI from a friend of mine, but im not sure if it will drop in properly like a manual R53? I know the R53 Automatic has an extra vacuum line but the Typhoon doesnt look like it has a port for that. Has anyone installed a K&N Typhoon CAI on their R53 Auto? I have seen it before when I was shopping around for R53s so I know it can be done.. Thank you!

 

Yes the intake pipe on the K&N doesn't have the second pipe so you can't use it without a bunch of modification.
Go with the DDMworks as we have found it to be the best for gains and fitment. Plus you use the stock intake hose with it so you don't need to worry about the connections of the vac lines.
