Installing coilovers questions

This is probably a dumb question but I'm about to order ksport coilovers for my 2005 base Mini Cooper and when I select it for my car it says they will not fit my car, but how ever when I select it for Cooper S they say it will fit . So the question is does it really matter if it's for the S or not ? (Just want to make sure before I waste time/money) thanks in advance

You should be fine. As you can see the coil overs from ST below for the '05 base and S are the same part number. You can also always go to the manufactures website as they should have an application guide for their product.

Base - http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...pg3.htm#item19

S - http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...pg3.htm#item19

I show and so does Ksport website https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/CBM070-KP/ is for the Cooper R50 2002-2006 CBM070-KP/

https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch/CBM072-KP/

is for the Cooper S R53 2002-2006 CBM072-KP

Show the same spring rates , but sometimes they change the valving or something else based off the weights or the cars, the S has more front weight.
