OBC / nav screen issues

I've noticed for a few months now that my on board computer screen keeps rebooting itself. It'll load up and then randomly it'll switch back to the mini logo and reboot.

I don't use it for the nav as its an r53 and its so old it thinks Napoleon is still alive; however I do use it for gas efficiency etc.

Any ideas as to why this is happening and or what I can do to stop it?

You need to find someone with a quality scan tool that can pull fault codes from your BCM.

Is your battery in good condition with no corrosion on the terminals? Wonky batteries will cause some pretty spectacular occurrences.

I've tried running a scanner and pinged nothing. Battery is under a year old and corrosion free.

What scan tool was used? Was it an Autologic, ISTA base, Snap-On, Autoenginuity, etc. These are all quality tools that will show you ALL stored codes not just generic codes, generic readers won't show you manufacturer codes.

Napoleon is dead?! I'm gonna have to break that one gently to my Nav.
