If you guys think a BMW 325i loaner totally and completely "sucks" maybe you should try a Ford Taurus, Chevy Lumina, Dodge Neon, Chevy Cavalier or Toyota Echo next time around.

The 325i is no MINI, but it is a DAMN nice car (Specially when you get to drive it for free) with a silky smooth in line six cylinder, RWD, great handling and superb interior.

Really some of you truly crack me up at times.

man, Motor City Mini sucks. All the better they can do is a Taurus I asked for a Mini, any mini, or ANY BMW. No deal...

But... Better than GM service, were you have to argue with them to get a loaner... And if you do, it is something like a BASE saturn with 40,000MI and pee-smell inside I remember when my parents drove a "Dust-Buster" I mean Pontiac Transport. Well they botched up work, so we had a loaner for 2 weeks- a smoke filled Chevy Astro. So we go to fuel it up, and uhhh, we were driving a mulitave (sp?) cocktail. The gas cap was replaced by a rag

I haven't had a need yet to leave my MINI overnight, though I still have problems , but MINI of Nashville does provide a nice couch for same day service. Well, unless your a BMW owner, they get free rental cars for the day as I was told.

I was at my dealer (Patrick MINI) a couple weeks ago for my 10K service and a couple other issues. The service that should have taken a little over an hour took nearly six hours. The MINI loaner was out so I got a 330xi. Great power and it pulled like a freight train, but it was...too smooth. I felt too distant from the driving experience. My MC felt soooo good after driving that car.

Well, it was for a regular scheduled service interval visit and not just "coming-in-for-random-stuff." Um, didn't say anything.

So, maybe I just look trustworthy!

When I had my windshield replaced and then in for some new cowl vents and door panel warranty squeak fix I didn't get a loaner.

Loaner Car

Towne Mini of Amherst NY gave me a 2003 Hyundai Elantra for the day - I was greatful to have the ride but after reading some of the other posts - I am jealous. Scheduled for some work Friday - maybe with luck will get something interesting.
