Greetings fellow Mini owners.

My squadron is currently accepting applications from aspiring Mini pilots who are interested in joining this small, but crack group of aces. (No pilots license required, just a drivers license)

Requirements for consideration:
1. You must reside in Los Angeles. (For now - will expand in the near future)
2. You must own a NEW (2002-2005) Mini Cooper S. (No Coopers just yet... we need to establish officers first. :P)
3. Your Mini Cooper S has to be British Racing Green. (If it's got stripes, then you will be given your own flight with 2 wingmen assigned to you - positions and pilots permitting)

Some info regarding the squadron:
At the moment it's small (only just been formed). We are a unit comprised of British Racing Green Cooper S's, and sorties include track days, restaurant nights, reconnaisance flights, picnics, offensive patrols, fun events, etc. Pilots can belong to other clubs e.g. MOALA, SCMM, TMM etc.

Hmm, a club only for BRG S owners in LA... What's next a club for Solid Gold only Coopers with sunroofs and driver's named Ed who live on the south side of Cheboygan?

Every MINI Club I've had anything to do with has been pretty inclusive anybody with any color, any model, anywhere could join. Granted if you were in NY and joined the SoCal club you probably wouldn't take part in too many activities, but the club would welcome you. Seems pretty odd (let alone pretty anti-MINI mindset) to start a club that is intended to be exclusive...

 

Maybe they're forming a squadron inside a club......................or something.

I love all colours, I do. But there is no point starting another club thats the same as all the rest now, is there.

Maybe if you guys who dont have green Minis, can start another gang of thieves, with multi colours, and you can call yourselves The Flying Circus.

Dont worry clowns... you will get it one day.

Flaming aside..... lets all chill like Winstons... think about what my squadron is like, stress the word squadron..... what type of squadron? A Camel Squadron. What colour are Camels? Granted,Olive Drab... but BRG is close enough lol.

Maybe you should consider a MINI Cooper S BRG Registry. The MX-5s have one for BRGs http://miata.net/faq/registries.html They have a national event every other year. In LA there is a club called DKB (?) that only allows certain types of aircooled VWs that have to meet standards of appearance to join. I never cared for that type of car club.

 

So....I should be totally offended.

heh... no game whatsoever. I came in here to your forum with good intentions, and the welcome I got was typical of the kind you get from clowns. Therefore I addressed the non-welcomers as such.

I do not believe BRG is better than any other MINI Colour..... it's related to the Theme I am creating.

Your goose is cooked. Let's get the rest of us to form competing squadrons:

The Flying Circus - CR MC and MCS (even MC40), must add a von to your handle to get the real feel of the Huns.

Le Froggies - IB and EB, now also HB (sorry no French blue MINIs yet). This is the squadron to be a member of, we just sit around drinking champagne and let Biggles do all the work against the Red hordes of the flying circus.

American Expeditionary squadron- Open to all colors, but must have a graphic of Old Glory on the tin top. In typical American fashion, we will arrive late to the party and then proceed to mop the floor with all those who get in our way, whether friend or foe. (Only negative of this group, poor quality beer labled as "Lo-Carb" or "Lite" - Yuck!).

As Biggles is already located up against the sea, it shouldn't be hard for us to push his squadron off the continent completely. Let's just coordinate the plan of attack: Flying Circus comes in from the north, Malibu area, Le Froggies from the eastern desert (if we can get motivated enough to leave Palm Springs), and the 'muricans from Dagolandia can come storming up the coast from the south.
