R50/53 Trouble with the Ipod interface
Trouble with the Ipod interface
So I did some googling and searching around, and couldn't really find anyone having a similar problem.
So I was very pleased to find out that my MCS came with the Ipod interface installed, and have been using it with an adapter to play spotify through my iphone 6 with no problem (besides not charging and the ridiculous amount of data I burn through). Everything worked just fine up until a month ago when I noticed the head unit would stop reading my phone , just says "no magazine" when I hit the mode button. I assumed it was the cable, since it looked like there was some charring on both the cable and the adapter. I've since replaced the cable with a new factory cable (since apparently Mini gave it one specific connection) and new adapters (they're from amazon, but I checked them with other cables to make sure that they work), I've changed the 2A fuse that's a part of the interface, and even swapped out some of the wires for the radio itself, and I still can't get it to read that my phone is connected, and I'm stumped, and tired to fumbling with all of my skipping cds, and commercials suck haha.
Has anyone else had a problem like this, or know something that I don't?
Thanks,
Nick
