R50/53 Toggle Switch Bank -- Does the Year Matter
Toggle Switch Bank -- Does the Year Matter
I am looking at picking up a toggle switch bank with all of the switches (mine does not currently have either fog light switch) and wondered if the different part numbers for different years really mattered. In other words, will the toggle switch bank for a 2004/2005 MINI (part number 61316917993) work on my 2006 MINI (recommended part number 61316958037)?
The earlier part number is for a "DSC" switch as well, so this is not the difference between "ASC" and "DSC" on the switch -- both of these part numbers are for "DSC".
Is it a cosmetic difference or is there a difference in the wiring? Cosmetics I can deal with, but if the wiring is different (so it will not work in my MINI when I plug it in, then I have a problem).
Thanks so much for your help!

As far as I know, I don't think there is a difference in wiring. I have an 04 (03 build date) and I bought a panel out of an 06. I was a direct replacement and I just had the rear fog lights programmed into it and they work fine. All of the other switches work as they did prior to the switch.
