05 MCS Hyper Blue

Thanks Minispot, I was able to call Ask Mini, unfortunately they were closed but they did tell me I am scheduled to be complete on 9/17. By looking at your dates I should expect to get mine around 10/15 or maybe a little sooner. This is my first mini, and I am soooooooooooo excited.

I am hoping to hook up with others in my area (Jax, FL).

Yay for NYCMINI It won't be long now:smile:

Lois

*asterisk* means waitlisted-if it doesn't show "loaded on vessel" when the ship comes in & there is no Bill of lading #, it means your MINI has to catch another ship

Actually, I think that there are 112 of us on the Resolve. Search by bill of lading number - GB233040. One more day to the VPC!

It appears that the Trinidad has arrived and - more importantly - departed Southampton, on schedule, according to the WW site. No Bill of Lading info has shown up on WW to confirm which cars are actually on board the Trinidad.
A check of the Oceanweather site has yet to show the ships position (call sign LAIY4) but its info is already several hours old. I don't know how often the info is updated but I'll check it again this evening.

Hi Fiona, My mini is supposed to come in to CA tomorrow, on the Hojin (it was originally set to come in today, the 16th, but was slowed my storms). Do you know what ship you are on? I can't imagine they sent two ships from Southampton to CA... We should be on the same one.

Congrats to all of you who are getting your cars really soon!!! The wait is almost over - Yayyy!!

Just an FYI - I just called USAA to add our Cabrio on - not as bad as I thought it would be. $828 for the year. We have 3 other vehicles on the policy - no tickets or accidents and that does include a female driver under 25. So maybe that gives some of you an idea for your own insurance. CA requires proof of insurance (hard copy of the policy) in order to register the vehicle.

Chow!

OK fellow MINIacs, what kind of goodies has everyone actually bought for their new babies. Sunnie has a glove box organizer, pull straps for the back seats, a Chinese Zodiac good luck charm, a UJ/Checkered flag emblem for her boot, & best of all after much internet searching, she has a CD of Bobby Hebb singing "Sunny" MINIs need presents when they finally come home

Ouch Patrick!!! I know the feeling though - our son is 25 - but he's on his own policy now - wheww!! But if it makes you feel any better, the insurance industry has proven that females under 25 are a bigger risk now, than males under 25. Our daughter is 19 - still on our policy - so just her portion alone is almost more than we are paying for our other 3 vehicles!!!

Lois - I've only bought one thing so far for Ariel - a Wooden Shift ****. I want to actually see her and drive her for a bit before she gets any more presents... Her big present is ME!!! LOL!!!

Chow!

my insurance is high, but then again, my parents insist on a very high level of coverage so that doesnt help me.

i was lucky, kind of, our insurance went up one dollar with the MINI added, thats only because we just moved from downtown San Francisco to a kind of little town, so It was like getting a big freebie kind of

Im going to order some PIAA driving lights, and stripes of course from cooperflags bonnet boot and im thinking of the vertical side stripes they have at the other site, the name is escaping me right now. And tinted windows as soon as i can.

I am 22 and have my own policy with two vehicles. I pay about $90 per car per month. My MCS is going to be roughly $9 more per month than the MC.

Well, the Trinidad managed to take on "some" of the 100+ wait-listed MINIs yesterday - but not mine. Now, mine and about 150 others, are in line for the Carmen, due to arrive and depart Southampton today. Booking No. is GBSOU265815 . Voyage is EA436-CAR . CG Call ID: S61W

Oh the agony! I went to the WW site today for the daily, alright hourly, check on my MINI and now it does not even show up. Yesterday it was showing received at terminal on the 15th for booking on the Freedom with 239 other MINI's but now the Freedom is only showing 10 MINIs booked. Of those booked, they were all received at the terminal today. I hope someone over in Southampton didn't pull a gone in 60 seconds move with a whole shipment of MINIs! Now that would truly be a blow to those of us waiting.

On the bright side, maybe those of us booked on the Freedom were able to hitch a ride on an earlier boat.

I'm just confused, has this happened to anybody else?

I would be pulling my hair out!

Hopefully there is nothing wrong with the car and maybe it is just a paper work snafu that needs something to get across the pond prior to release. Regardless, that is too long! When it does get to your dealer, I'm sure you are going to examine that car like a crime scene investigator .
