He gave me this look, like "spoiled rich brat who's parents pay for her columbia education and buy her a new car" . I wanted to say "listen, squirt, I'm not 18. I've been in the military, I've been living independently for 7 years, and work for what I have. My parents have not given me a penny!"
Like a few others here I, too, have been moved to from Carmen to the Trinidad. It looks like nearly all of the 127-Carmen cars have been wait-listed for the Trinidad. I guess we'll just have to wait 'n see if we all make it on board!

Ozbone- hey! Glad to hear there's another person here who understands me. I work full time and go to school full time, and even though its not the normal college experience, I think I can appreciate things more. Hey, at least I will be graduating with no loans, and have paid for my education by myself
Isnt it nice to know that you've done it yourself? I dont like taking money from the parents, although my brothers have no problems with it. My parents would have paid for my education (not my car
) but I got the necessary scholarships. Now, Im buying this car all on my own. my brothers drive around in a car registered to my parents. they think im crazy for not WANTING to take whats being offered. I see things differently...
edit: those that do depend on their parents, its understandable. just dont shove it in the faces of others!

It's easy to pre-suppose though. When we were in the Dealer spec'ing our MCSC there was a man with a young daughter...I'm bad at this but I'd guess she was 17 or so. They were ordering an MCS. I didn't give it much thought till it became apparent they were ordering it for her.
Who am I to judge...but buying a child a new car just seems like a sure path to creating a malformed adult.
Peter...always amazed at what kids are given in this world...and always humbled by kids who make their own way...in Denver

We lived in Virginia for over 20 years until this past year. Long story short, I'm from So Cal and always wanted to come back. The opportunity presented itself last year - so here we are!! In fact, our goodbye luncheon pictures are on the web site...
We have the 2nd MCS delivered to Sterling MINI and have always had a fantastic relationship with them - hence - we were able to secure a Cabrio spot about 2 years ago...
We miss our buddies back there..

Hello everyone, I am new to this site, I placed my MCS on order back in August with a schedule of week 38. To my surprise it went into production last week. I see everyone talking about WW and Ask Mini how can I get to those sites and check for a more detailed status. Thanks for any info anyone can provide. I look forward to staying connected with other mini owners.

1) Get your Production Number from your Mini Advisor (ie. 7487xxx)
2) Set up a username and login into MiniUSA's Owners Lounge (OL) at https://ol.miniusa.com/oemainlogin.asp and jot down your mini's VIN number under "Review Order Detail"
3) Call 866-ASK-MINI (866-275-6464) to get an update on your car's production. Always speak to a live person by saying, "Customer Service".
4) If your baby is built, go to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site at http://213.31.205.37/GLWebApps.AppTracking. Click on Track Cargo By "Auto". Enter your VIN. Take down the Vessel Name. (ie. Patriot, Liberty)
5) If the vessel has departed, go to
http://cgmix.uscg.mil/PSIX/PSIX2/VesselSearch.asp to find the vessel's call sign using the vessel's name.
6) Goto to http://www.oceanweather.com/data/index.html and click on the area of the map where your vessel should be, then click on "marine observations." Look for your vessel's call sign. Or go to http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/ and enter the vessel call sign. I like this one better, it shows you the vessel name on the map.
