No it does not. :( I asked the dealer about the MP3 adapter and he told me that since I have the CD changer I can't get a MP3 adapter. Somthing about only one aux plug for either the adapter or CD changer. My only regret was getting the CD changer. Its nice and works great, but I think MP3 players will be the death of CD changers. I hope they make a new Y adapter soon so I can get an MP3 player. Also I only have the base Stereo.

I am loving this Nav System. It tells me were the nearest restraunt is. Germany is not like the states were you have a place to eat every 50ft. I need to get to the job.

MINIBEAST,

I have a 2004 MCS. I live in the KMC area also. I would like to take a look at the new 05's and see what they look like up close. Please shoot me an e-mail or a PM. What dealer are you taking your car to?

The new key looks awesome. I wonder if I lose mine, if I could get one like that

Appears to be the LED for the factory alarm.

Octaneguy is right, its a blinking LED for the factory alarm.

Someone asked about the tape deck, I use tapes to help me study to make rank. I have a CD changer in the back so no need for a single CD player in the front.

I love the key, the MINI logo is the alarm button.

How much does the Factory Alarm cost?

How much is MSRP on the Factory Alarm if I purchase it and have it installed when I get my MINI?

Thanks-

I was told by my MA that it is a dealer installed option and it costs $495.... not worth the $$ in my opinion since she did say that all the keys for the car are "chipped" where they wouldn't even be able to start the car without it.....

The alarm is an expensive and complicated retrofit on 02s and 03s. The 04 alarm kit is around $50-100 (i forget) and installs in about 45 minutes.

Great to hear from you and welcome to NAM.

In this picture-

Under the rear boot shelf there is a light blue "safety kit"???

I like the matching blue dash and oval door rings.
The hyperblue is good. Maybe not as dark as the indi blue.
The larger leather door pulls are also good since the silver door pulls were prone to scratches.
Note the rear center backup light is covered with black plastic now that the backup lights are built into the tail lights. It think it needs a body colored plate.

As to the question of MP3 playing, your sales rep is crazy. If it is a true U.S. spec car, and it has the radio with the ribbed volume control, it will play MP3's. As a really early build, they may have snuck in the old head unit, but if it was purchased as a U.S. spec car, it should have the MP3 capable head unit. I'd demand they switch it out if they ripped you off.

Sorry !, If it has a tape deck, it can't play MP3's - no 6-disk changer available from the Mini dealer plays MP3's that I know.
