Hi there,

Saturday my fiancee and I took delivery of an '04 Indigo Blue/White Mini Cooper. We didn't get the S because, well, she doesn't really need it. It's her car to drive, but my car to mod.

Just thought I'd introduce myself. My car ('01 A4 1.8T) is well-modded, and I can't wait to tear into the Mini's little powerplant. Once I get some pics of her new car, I'll post 'em up. First mods should be bonnet stripes, tint, cf dash trim (oem), and some oil gauges!

Well, re-phrasing, I guess it's my car to do all the leg-work on. She'll point at the mods she likes, we'll buy them together, and I'll do all the work installing them. Hah.

I'm so up in the air on progression. Perhaps suspension first. From what I've read, most people are running upgraded springs on stock shocks (this is a big no-no in the Audi community) ... interesting. Nice, easy mod, should only take a couple hours and provides something purdy to look at. =) Engine mods won't come for a while, I don't think she's going to relish me putting a turbo in there quite yet. The minute she mentions it's down on power (if she ever does) ... it'll be a different story!

I really like the OEM body / aero kit - is there a place online I can buy/look at it? I can't seem to find a link on MINIUSA.com. Thanks!

PS - I can't tell you how excited I am she got this car. I love everything about it. My A4 is going to start to feel neglected... lol!

 

Goto MINIUSA.com and select... Build Your Own. Select a MINI... click thought the steps till your at step 5. Under Exterior Styling... it's the first item on the list. :smile:
